Scarce and highly collectible large original first printing concert poster advertising
LINDISFARNE
at the Lyceum Theatre in London [England] on Wednesday, 24th November, 1971, presented by Terry King in association with Tony Stratton Smith, and with Audience and Bell & Arc also on the bill. The classic Fog on the Tyne had just been released on Charisma Records, gave the group their breakthrough in the UK. Recorded at Trident Studios in London and produced by Bob Johnston, famous for producing albums by Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, topped the album charts early in 1972 for four weeks and remaining on the chart for 56 weeks in total.
"Meet Me on the Corner", one of two songs written by bassist Rod Clements, reached #
5 on the singles charts. The title track itself became the band's signature tune.
The poster measures 106.0 x 76.7 cm (approx. 41.7" by 30.2" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, uncoated paper stock.
Unfolded but with a number of smalls rips to the borders and light overall surface handling wear.
